Urgh, can’t stand people who use it so flippantly. They really don’t realise (or don’t want to) just how severe lack of spoons really is.

Yes THIS! So so much relief! I finally felt like maybe I wasn’t just crazy, there are other people out there who understand! I cried the first time I read the Spoon Theory!

In a forum discussing online dating someone was talking about people cancelling at last minute. Someone said you have to remember some people run low on spoons. Amazingly most of the participants were then spoonies which made me hmm because it was clear how they were talking about spoons was like this person. Then there was one person ripping spoonies apart saying that she shouldn’t have to make allowances for other people. Then me sat in a corner rocking.

People throwing the phrase around casually like that gives women like the one on that thread ammunition against us and we really don’t need more of it. I’m glad you’ve stood up for spoons.
